Objective:

Development of an integrated architecture for life environment aimed to improve the life quality of frail users living in their own environments. The proposed approach is based on the definition of an ideal range of parameters and combinations of them, with the strategy to keep the patient in the “safety zone” through a telemonitoring system which uses wearable solutions or devices integrated into the life, and a Decision Support System which will help the caregivers to early detect the risk for the patient to exit “safety zone” and to foresee low impact and low cost actions.

Within the project Grifo multimedia is developing a system of patient empowerment (with particular regards for patients affected by mild cognitive impairment – MCI). The system is composed by:

4 minigames available for Android-based devices: the games aim to evaluate patiens ability to interact in daily activities according to I.A.D.L. Scale (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale).
A platform used by doctors to assign daily tasks to the patients and evaluate their progress.

Expected results:

The creation of tools to support the improvement of social impact with particular attention to the quality of life of the patients
Improvement of the quality of life of patients with the disease that is the subject of experimentation
Adoption of new methodologies by public and private hospitals in order to improve the service offered and to optimize healthcare expenditures
Creation and specialization of companies in the field of socio-sanitary and services that work widely in the territory to implement project’s outputs
Creation of a permanent bridge between research organizations and production realities
